When Your Girlfriend Has To Get Up Early ... You Have To Get Up Early

Amie had to wake up super early this morning to drive down to Boston to help her best friend since childhood pick out wedding dresses. I did not know that this meant I had to get up early too. She did admit later that "I'm evil" for doing so.

I'm usually an early riser, but hadn't slept well the night before. Kept waking up during the night. I was awake when Amie got out of bed, but wasn't feeling like getting out myself. It was still dark outside, and freezing. I wanted to stay under the covers where it was nice and toasty. I'd get out of bed when the sun had a chance to warm up the air a little.

Amie wasn't having any of this. If she had to be up and dressed at an obscene hour, gee golly, I was going to be too. So, I followed her downstairs. I checked Facebook and Instagram while she changed. I noticed she had filled the coffee pot with water, but hadn't gotten around to making the coffee, so completed that task and continued browsing social media while waiting for her.

She came out of the downstairs room looking hot in a tight-fitting b & W stripped dress and black leggins. She made breakfast for herself and was going to make mine, but since I chose to eat some leftover blueberry pancake batter her mother yesterday, I just poured it into Amie's Mickey Mouse shaped waffle maker. (Did not think to take a picture. Trust me, this thing is awesome!)

Ames was running late, so I put her breakfast into container for the road and walked her out the door.

Spent the morning cleaning up my cabinet in the RV. Coming and going so much, having to grab clothes on the fly most of the time, the cabinet gets unorganized quickly, so whenever I have some down time, I reorganize everything so that all of my clothes are in neat stacks, so I can grab it in a hurry if necessary, which is most of the time. After that, worked out. It was raining outside, and Amie's sister is staying in the downstairs room, so had to do it in the RV, which limited me to pushups, squats, mountain climbers, and crunches. Listened to Judy Bloom and James Patterson Masterclass episodes while doing so. Recorded a chapter of 100 Pieces of Me so Amie will have something to listen to on the long drive back from Boston. Since she's not here, I did the different accents. Oh well.

After that, showered, made lunch: the last of the Morning Star fake burger patties, on a bun with some of the leftover lettuce and onions from lunch with Sandra, mustard, ketchup, white cheddar cheese. It too was amazing. And the last of the Blueberry Milk. Watched Schitt's Creek, Lawn Signs. Kind of a meh episode. Funny, but not that interesting. Still hungry, so heated up the slice of Pat's Pizza Amie saved for me the other night. Don't see what the big deal is about the place. I've seen two here. The one I was in was dirty. Dare I say filthy? But was fairly full.  Amie and Ria acted like it was a great place with delicious pizza. To me, it looked greasy. The slice I had did not impress me.

Tried working on some transcription jobs, but the ones coming up are a mess. Bad audio quality, and other transcribers attempts are included in the file, which just makes it last even longer, having to correct their mistakes. So, ended that.

Waiting for Amie to return home. No idea what time that will be. Downstairs room where I normally watch tv is occupied with her sister and newly arrived niece. It's too cold in the RV to hang out there. And is currently raining outside, so can't walk anywhere. Just hang out in Amie's old room and see what I can find to watch on Netflix.

P. S. I'm still hungry.

And They Shall Call Him David The Snake Fighter

So yesterday, I opened up the garbage can and saw a snake swirling around the bottom. I grabbed a scuffle hoe and immediately sliced made sure the snake's head parted ways with its body. I showed the decapitated snake to a friend who knows more about these things than I do, and he said it's a pygmy rattle snake. These little dudes are the bad asses of rattle snakes. Their venom could kill you like that (snap).

Today I was crossing the yard and noticed one of my many adorable cats sniffing around at something on the ground. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that it was the same snake from yesterday, and upon even closer inspection, I discovered this snake at head.

WTF! A head, hadn't I just yesterday sliced it off with a blunt disc. Then I realized that this was a different snake and cut the fucker's head off just to make sure it was really and truly dead. Go me! Snakes beware my wrath!

Spent the rest of the day working on the zombie script. Oh the day when I get paid to write.

Then cleaned up the yard for awhile on in order to destroy all hiding places these snakes might have. And it needed it too. Starting to look like a jungle out there.

Later,
